Default accord timing question

I've been playin around with the timing on my accord and wasn't sure which mark on the flywheel represented which degrees. The stock timing is supposed to be 15 degrees plus or minus 2. There are three marks on the flywheel, obviously the middle one is the 15....but which one, in relation to the front and rear of the car is 13 and 17? thanks!

hmm, I think this is how it goes.... there is some sort of mark that looks like a + sign, then the few marks with one labeled 15, then a mark that just goes across like this - . I believe that the - is TDC, so anything between the 15 and the - will be less than 15. Hope this is making sense...

the one closest to the front of the car is 17 degrees.

... and the marks are on the crank pulley, not the flywheel.

They are on the flywheel on my car, a 4th gen manual. Not sure if the autos are different.

the flywheel is what mates to the clutch. what you point a timing light at is the crank pulley.

I know what the flywheel is. That is where the timing marks are on my car. That is on the opposite side of the engine from the crank pulley. The crank pulley is what rotates an accesory belt. That is on the driver's side. The flywheel is hidden from view because it is covered by the bellhousing, on the passenger side. There is a small sight plug on the bellhousing which you remove in order to see the timing marks on the flywheel.

I will also agree that the timing marks on some older hondas are definitely on the flywheel. It is that way on my 92 ex. My wife's 97 integra has them on the crank pulley though. Thanks for the help guys!

... then i stand corrected. i've owned two accords and both of them had the timing marks on the crank pulley. i've also helped tune numerous mustangs, and toyotas and all those markings were on the crank pulley as well.
