Default Hydrolock

What is a chance of hydrolock with AEM cai?( I live in Atlanta, GA, we have some rains once in a while)
Will bypass valve eliminate this possibility?
Thanks

I live in Gwinett I have a lowered accord and an aem cold air, No problems so far. I've had it for at least 7 months. Just steer clear of deep puddles. I drive in the rain its fine I wouldn't think to much into it.

A few months ago i almost hydrolocked, and my car is not lowered at all. Filter just got really really wet and stalled. If you dont plain on getting a bypass i wouldn't drive out when its really wet out side.

I have been out here in atl in every major storm and my car runs fine never stalled nothing. I don't know what happened to you but its not that easy to hydrolock, you have to completely submerge your cai. And even then if you have an filter with oil on it should just stall so you don't hydrolock. Never came close though myself.

I live in Portland Oregon and have a fully built motor that I put a lot of time and money into....I run the Injen CAI system and run it year round with no bypass and have yet to have a problem from it.

Trust me when I say that if I felt the slightest bit of fear of hydrolock I wouldn't run it on my car because the CAI is nowhere near the worth if I fry my engine.

Oh and BTW it rains here more than it doesn't rain so if it were going to happen it would have already
