Default What is an LX-A?

I was told that its an Accord with factory installed ABS. I've got a 99 Accord and that's what the dealerships tell me I've got on it. Didn't ABS come standard in 99 on the LX? I'm just curious.

I think all 6th gens came with ABS. Every one I have been in has had it. The DX models might not have it.

ABS was an option for 6th gen automatic LXs. All 7th gen Accords have standard ABS. Check out the Honda model library. Honda Model Library

Actually, the EX had ABS (standard equipment). When I bought my '99 LX new, I don't ever recall having the option of ABS, and I have an AT. Disk and drum brakes were standard for the LX and DX.

Edit: Shoot...I just found the ABS option in the site you provided. I stand corrected.

It was an option on the LX. I have an '00 LX Coupe w/o ABS.

It's probably just slang, if ABS was optional. Not really an official model designation.

Kinda like our '03 Accord LX was supposedly available with or without side airbags. But the dealer had never seen one with side airbags...

yes, ABS was an option on the LX, but I don't think very many of them were sold, since the EX came standard with it.

my '02 LX has rear drums and no ABS...

Ok guys
First off there is no LX-A designation, Secondly with the 4th gen Accords, only EX Accords had ABS. The 92-93 also had it, but it was based off the EX.

Starting with the 6th gens, again all EX's had standard ABS, but so did all v6 models. 4 cylinder LX's had optional ABS with A/T's only.
