Default 7th Generation Mod (Homelink System w/ Voice Module)

Okay, for those of you with EX-L-Navi (2004), you will find that the car does not come with the Homelink system. Well, I wanted it so I ordered the part for the 2003 EX and took the voice module out of the 2004 piece (soldering required). Now I have the voice commands and the Homelink. The piece can be purchased for $225 with shipping. If anyone needs the name of the place I ordered it from, post a message.

I have a 2003 EX-L without Homelink and was told that you could not order the part. Do you have that part number and name of place where you ordered it?

Thanks,
Lenny

http://www.collegehillshonda.com/Mer...uct_Code=39180

Price: $218.28 + shipping

As I said though, if you have voice rec. you need to take the voice module from one piece and put it in the other. However if you do not have voice rec. then it is a direct replacement.

Do you mean this piece will only work with the NAV system or that voice will only work with NAV? I don't have NAV but would love to get the Homelink.

The voice will only work with the NAV. You will be able to put the piece right in no problem if you do not currently have the voice controls. It will take five minutes to install. 4 screws and everything pops out. The piece in the center of the lights shown in the link above) connects to a wire harness. Get it though, it is great! Learns any remote.

No problem...let me know when you install it. By the way, to install it just remove the 2 screws (hex screws) in the eye glass holder and then remove the plastic light lens and there will be one phillips head screws in each. The piece will drop down after that.

Default Homelink Installed

Received the Homelink the other day and installed last evening in my 03 coupe. It was quick (took about 10 minutes), easy, and true "plug & play". Would highly recommend to anyone wanting the OEM Homelink capability. This is an OEM Honda part and don't understand why Honda doesn't promote it. Thanks for the recommendation.
