yeah, hood pins are good...i got sparco's on my VIS cf hood...VIS is a good hood and the factory latch seems pretty sturdy...but better safe than sorry. Never know when u might need to do 120, be nice to be able to concentrate on weaving thru the traffic without having to worry about the hood flying up and killing you.
anyways, yeah, my friend got a nice CF hood for his integra.. he hadn't installed the hood pins yet, and thing caught wind and completely flew off his car.. bad news
definately put hoodpins on your cf hood...thats what i did....cuz b4 i put them on, it flopped liek a mutha and the latch can still give...hoodpins is one investment u wont regret....or down the line if your windshield gets ****ed up..u'll kno why
note: i put on a cf hood over winter...and some other stuff...ill post up new pics in the spring...
I am not too familiar with hood pins. Do u need to drill the hood? Or does CF hoods come with predrilled holes? Where the heck does the hood pins hook up to underneath?
