Default APEXi Power intake

Anyone have any experience with this intake system? From what I've been reading, their maintenance free, metallic filter is the best on the market due to it's superb filtering properties, zero maintenance, and dual funnel design which maximized airflow while minimizing turbulence in the intake. I need a new air filter and was about to drop $50 on a K&N until Aux opened my eyes to this APEXi unit. A universal filter will run me $80, while their power intake system would be about $120, a no brainer.

I just want to know your firsthand experience with this intake system/filter.

All my friends with them have no complaints at all. Filters great, holds up great, fitment is flawless. Seen dyno numbers from 150hp all the way up to 300hp. The filter works just as great on n/a cars as it does on f/i cars. If your worried about CA smog you gotta remember... its only an intake. It takes a minute to swap your OEM box in for smog checks. :goodjob:

Ive seen cars put down that much on a dyno jet. 150 was from a mild built d16z6 and 300 was a greddy turbo'd b18c1 in an ek. Another Ive seen is an all motor gsr put down 211 on a dynapak so thats about 201 on a dyno jet. All were using the apex filter. Just wanted to let you guys know what power is capable with using an apex filter. I didnt say anything about what cars put down those numbers in my previous post.

About $60 bucks. Felt more gains than stock, but not compared to my old CAI. Uses stock rubber intake. Gives it an OEMish look.

Hmm, is that the power intake kit im talking about? Where did you get it for $60? Can you still get it for that price? Cheapest I've found the intake is $120, and the filter alone is like $80. I'm not gonna get it if it's just that little section, I'd be better of getting the universal filter and attaching it to my existing CAI.
