Default Paint jobs

Hey, the 01 Accord i have is a hand me down from my dad, and my dad got it in the metalic gold color. I wanna change the color of the car to the metalic dark blue. Anyone think they have a price range of how much this will be? My parents are even willing to help me cuz they know a youngin wouldn't wanna drive a goldish car around thats all hooked up.

Well I can tell you how much it cost me to get mine done. With all body work (removing scratches and little dings nothing big) mounting 4 piece bodykit and and new spoiler fenders, it was about 2500 to 3000 because i had some other little things done here and there. I don't how the prices differ from AK to the rest of the states considering we are only supposed to be 8% higher then the national average. :P

Well what i need is just to re-paint, remove some scratches, and fix a small dent on the hood. I hope it doesn't cost more than 1 grand.

More then likely for a good quality re-paint it is going to cost you more then a grand. Unless you take it to Maco which I don't recomend.

I don't think 1G will paint all your door jambs and engine bay. If you don't do all that, you'll embaress yourself when you open the hood

When I got my Accord it had a couple of dings here and there, key scratches around the keyhole (it's an EX!! why the hell would anyone use the keys?) and a tiny chip of paint on the P-side mirror and all that ran me about $300. The colour is Honda's "Dark Currant Pearl" (dark purple up close, black from afar) and it's a semi-metallic colour I believe, and... heh.. I'm sorry but I just don't think a grand is going to give you in real life the picture you have in your head.

expect to pay 1800-2500 realistically.....maybe up to 3000, but it shouldn't be anymore than 2500 really....... im getting mine done soon...some dumb bitch at the body shop at the dealership i work at quoted me 5500-6500, i ask her if that was for just one car?? she's a moron, the other service advisor quoted me 2000-2500 which i can live with because it's a professional body shop and i know they'll do a factory quality job....it should be a lil less thos cuz they dont have to touch the hood or the trunk (carbon fiber hood, soon to be trunk too )

Would black be about the same price? I noticed he was asking about metallic blue. I'd just need a repaint.
