Default longevity of the 4th gen tranny?

I have 212k on this tranny (manual and mostly highway) and im the 3rd owner. I was wondering about how long will these trannies last? if i keep on abusing this tranny becuz im still a n00b, then im not sure it will hold up very well. I heard they can go up to 275k? anyone want to input on this? thanks

(like today i accidently shifted into 2nd instead of 4th going onto the highway luckily it didnt blow, i was rushing myself, doh)

Honda manual tannies have been historically good. Be nice to it, and it will be nice to you.

Both of my 4th Gens never have had to have the transmission replaced (148K when wrecked, 158K current). Simple maintenance of changing the fluid every 15-30K can make them last forever... ...at least for an AT.

my wifes 4g has 198K on it. just change the oil and do usual maint to it and it will get you from point A to point B. and granted that you dont drive the hell out of it.

Autos and Manuals will last a long time, i guess a manual would outlast an auto, just change the fluid and it will last you a long time.
