Default finished my diy black housing headlights

overall im pretty satisfied with em ... might take em apart though if they keep fogging up ... my dad figures there was a bit of moisture in there and i did such a good job of sealin em that it cant get out ... which is prob it ... so if it dont go away in a week ill reseal em this weekend or next.

This project took me an entire day, but was helped along by me knowing how to take the bumper off from working with my moms accord.

I credit cryogen97 for making a good how to, and talking me through getting the damn clips off the headlight bulbs.

only thing he did that i didnt is he painted the chrome cap over the low beam, and i chose to leave it chrome.

Conclusion: this owns and will continue to own any gay ebay or jdm black housing lights as it is much cheaper and you have original oem fitment with these.

i found out that you can clear the stock corners ... but my friends givin me some clears for free so imma tint those with some of that hobby shop spray tint people use on their tails and stuff.

Um... Wouldnt you be able to remove them and since there is a BIG hole in the back where the bulb goes, you can set thew ligh tup on the lense under a heat lamp and it will dry it out.

Just an idea, better then having to take the thing apart all again.

BTW. I never have understood the point in blacking them out?

And if you "tint" the corner lights, don't that make it harder to see?

well id feel better resealing it and i prob should take the right one apart since i didnt clean the lense and theres fingerprints on the inside:doh:

there isnt really a point to blacking them out other than enhanced cosmetic appearence (IMO)

and no tint on the corners wont make em harder to see my buddy did the tails of his 95 civic and they still light up fine, heres some pics

jbm?

Sure you can, but the clear corners and stock accord corners look different from the jdm's. The jdms reflector is not on the lense like the usdm accord and aftermarket clear corners. Still could look good though.

I did my tails with NiteShade that I found a auto-store. It worked great and can see it perfectly!
