Default 98 Accord having starting problems...anyone else?

My friend has a 98 4 cylinder accord that won't start.

We tried to jump it this morning, but it wouldn't budge so I doubt if it is the battery.

We can hear it turn over .....Does anyone know what it is or have the same problem?

Starter?, Ignition?

Common issue?

Well it all depends on where you live. I live up in the Northeast and this weekend, we had bone chilling temps!! The wind chills were like -15 to -20! And yes my car had a hell of a time starting up cause it's parked outside, '98 LX I-4 auto. But on other slightly warmer days, I have no problem at all usually.

Run down this check list:
1. Plugs & wires
2. Battery

Sounds like the starter is running so I doubt its that.

Your battery is 5+ years old now, It may just be worn out by now.

it could be your starter. I had to replace the starter in my 98 accord last year. for me, it went out completely at the market and would just "click". but then after trying for about 5 minutes, it turned over and i was able to get it home. but then it was stuck in my garage until i went out and installed a new one.

That pretty much means the starter is working.

Is there spark? Is there gas?
