Default Check Engine Lite

Went to Autozone when my CEL came on , they told me it was The Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold ( Bank 1) , what is this Cat or 02 Sensor , also i'm getting crappy gas milage thanks

replace it as soon as posible and dont drive hard and one good advice, buy it from autozone

I've had that code in the past on an Accord. I replaced the catalytic converter and the problem was solved. You could try replacing the sensor first, that will help your fuel economy anyways. Anytime the check engine light is on more fuel is consumed than normal.

Your converter could be covered in the warranty. If not, this converter worked for me in the past, great price to if you ask me. I found this converter to be less expensive then a sensor at the time.

sunny, what year and model is ur car, like is it a 4 cylinder or v6? i have an o2 sensor i can sell u, and an OEM catalytic converter, so let me kno ur car year and model.

You are covered by Honda on your "cat" up to 80,000 miles, regardless of original warranty or second ownership. If your cat did fail, have a dealership replace it with a new OEM one.

I've had that code for the past couple of months. I have a highflow cat and I'm just waiting till the spring to replace it. it doesn't really affect anything. I just keep pulling the #13 fuse to reset it. I still get the same gas milage.

my buddies cel has been on in his 95 civic for almost a year because of the o2 sensor and it dont run any worse and gas mileage is still the same
