Default bleeding brakes

any suggestions for doing it single handed?

i.e: speed bleeders, vacuum pumps, etc..

Anyone have any problems with leaving those speed bleeders on? Vacuum pumps a better bet since they can be used on multiple cars? Any suggestions on the type/brand?

tnx

Pressure bleeder, like Motive, puts pressure on the reservoir, you just open the bleeder screw & the fluid comes out.

I've used speed bleeders, they work pretty well. You HAVE to leave them in. Then 2 years later (in NE Ohio) when I wanted to bleed the brakes again, they were rusted.

I've used a vacuum pump (MityVac), & it pulls bubbles in thru the threads of the bleed screw. I put a great big gob of grease around the threads, that helped a lot. But I still had to finish up with a helper pumping the pedal. This isn't bad if you can get a helper for only a little while.
