Default Installed POLYURETHANE ENGINE MOUNT INSERTS

I deceided to order a set of these just for the hell of it cause I thought it would be something good to have. Come to find out my front motor mount was wearing out and had a crack in it. It was still good but you could defienetly see the old age. After putting in the first one and drove the car around, these inserts made a big difference in the overall performance of the car. The drivieability and the traction is back. These do make a world of a difference. I put these inserts in at only 82K so for some of you guys with like 100k+ I would recommend it highly. Only $25 for the inserts. Only thing is that putting that rear one is going to be a serious bitch. Only way I can see is taking out the intake manifold but for now the front one is Excellent.

There was a slight increase in vibration from 1500-2000rpms but I actually like the way it sounds and feels. Other then that, it's like driving a totally different car. It feels like the suspension is actually working better since I guess the motor mount weak and taking a good portion of the abuse. It's raining like ass & **** over here but for some reason my traction in the rain is better then it's ever beeen and that's weird but a very good thinking. I sterring wheel also stopped shaking. I thought my rotors were seriously warped again but come to find out, it was the motor mount worn.

My vibration isn't no where near what your talking about rich. and actaully the vibration is under 1300rpms. I rechecked it yesterday while driving around.above 1300 it's just like normal.

yea i and ES in the front and a prothane insert in the rear, and prothane's are a bit stiffer then ES. So my dash vibrated alot at idle when warm. rich knows what i'm talkin about. he felt the beast in all its glory.

yepp, its the rear that does it though, it also might have to do in the way the 4th and 5th gens motor sits, i know that my motor say flush in my 4gen, but i notice alan's tilts back, which is putting even more pressure on the rear mount right? thus giving it more vibration.

yeah? I guess for $25 it's worth a shot. I don't think im gonna do that rear one though cause I don't want the increased vibration, kinda defeats the purpose if you ask me.

hehe, to be honest carlos, when I got in ur car and started it up and felt/heard the crazy vibration, I was like "damn, this shit is gonna fall apart."
But other than that it was coo.

Yeah, yours is alot smoother than Carlos' was, but apparently he had the rear mount installed as well so maybe that's it. But I was expecting the same vibration his car had so it was coo when I fired it up and it purred
Maybe I'll just do the front:dunno:

no, Alan's car didn't vibrate anywhere near as much as yours did
