Default RIP: My Accord

Well I got myself in a wreck new years night...1:00 AM, wasnt drinkin, but the roads were covered in ice and snow, i was keepin up with the flow of traffic on a state highway here, and hit a patch of ice when changing lanes.

The back end started coming around and was pulling me into oncoming traffic. All i could think about was getting back on to my side of the road, and once i did, thats where my memory blanks out.

I hit a talephone pole, not a regular wooden one, but one of those huge metal ones that are like 3 times as big as regular ones. Hit it with the drivers side wheel, back to the drivers side door appears to be the point of impact, going about 55 MPH. Both air bags went off, and when i woke up i was facing the oposite direction that i was coming from. MY door wouldnt open, and i hurt but amazingly i wasnt hurt that bad. Good enought o crawl out my passenger door. I got a ticket, for going to fast for conditions, i had studded snow tires, yes i know thats not a reason to go that fast, i guess i just wasnt thinking.

I went out and looked at the car today, the front drivers side tire is pushed back about 8 inches into the body of the car. Somthing in my drivtrain must have broke becasue after the wreck my car was still running i had to turn it off, but it was still in gear. The impact was up front, and the trunk is off about an inch out of place...the center concol is smached, the drivers side door is smashed. Both air bags deployed, probably what saved my life.

I denyed ambulance, and had my parents take me to the hospital, did a cat scan and a x-ray of my neck, nothing abnormal...my right knee is all swollen and my hip and neck hurts a little.

Not bad for hitting a pole at 55 and ending up looking back at it, about 45 yards away.

I will post up pics tommaorw so you can all see why not to drive fast when its cold and wet out.

I will post pics along with a list of damage tommarow.

I am so lucky i wasnt hurt, and you will all see when i get pics up...

If anyone knows about a 4th gen for sale, let me know, i cant afford a 5th gen, but i loved my accord, and the 4th genners seem to be happy with their rides, so im thinkin ill go with that.

I want to stay accord, they may be big, but that fact probably saved my life

Also can i part out my car, all the good peices anyway, and make any money??

You shouldn't have drove fast on ice and snow to begin with....use common sense!

RIP Accord:wtc:

I have a 4th gen 1992 Accord EX sedan w/ 193k miles, but I don't really want to sell it. I'd much rather get rid of my TSX than my 4th gen, but if you give me a good offer for my Accord, then I am willing to sell it...
