Is this possible or am i just stupid
Ok so i was having this debate with a friend of mine about why my exhaust blew 2 seals... now i have a 94 wtih stock everything except an intake...
now what the debate was was if putting an air intake on the car would help the rusted exhaust blow the seal prematurely. My arguement is that increased air flow increases pressure and thus would accelerate the breaking of my poor exhaust...
rail away.

Nope your stupid...unless you actualy raise your compression I don't see it even having the slightest effect on your exhaust...and even if you were to raise your compression it wouldn't have that kind of effect on it.

you just suck at driving :fawk:
there is no fawking way just an intake can cause 2 seals to blow. Especially when they are exhaust seals. Intake is incoming air, Exhaust is outgoing air...... how you guys link an intake causing some seals to blow is beyond me. i think you're just stupid.

The thing is, in order for that to theoretically work, you'd have to have your engine be super efficient to get all the air through the exact without losing all pressure of it sucking it in.
And even then it'd never do it.
And even then it'd never do it.
the amount of air in is not that much greater if any. It just takes less energy to suck it in. Think about it this way. Wether u suck air in through a straw or a wide open mouth ur loung capacity doesn't change.
