my dad had a flowmaster on his 320i and it was the most noisiest thing i hav ever heard, i wonder if that is the same wit the magnaflows.

i agree with 93accord4door and vrgncd5 about the sound. i got the same setup as vrgncd5.

i have to agree some of the magnaflow are hella loud.. checkout there site for some soundclips

the street series is the quieter one and the race series is the loud one. i think if noise is not a concern the race series is a great muffler though for the money.

i had a thermal R&D muffler which is made by magnaflow, imo it was too loud and sound like ass when cold.

i personally love the tip, i don't really like the big cannister style. It is loudest around 2000-3500 rpm's. If you can stay out of those then you can't even hear it. With a manual it's nice because you can usually shift around the loudness unless you are going on the freeway @ 70ish. Hasn't bothered me yet, i don;'t do a lot of highway/freewya driving though
