i made the mistake on not getting a manual and i regret it. Is there anyway i can get a tranny swap in a i4 7th gen coupe? and how much is it gonna cost? thanks guys..

 

lol, I think you're better off trading it for a manual, especially since it's still such a new car...

The manual Accord costs less than your Automatic Accord, so now you're going to spend money to convert it to something cheaper?

I wish I'd gotten a manual too, but it's way too late now...

 

Its cheaper just getting a new car. Otherwise it will easily cost in upwards of $3,000 plus all the hassle. Its a huge waste of money for the swap, just get a new car.

I agree with the others. Since you probably have a low mileage car, maybe you can trade for a manual? 1st gear is pretty low (about 20 m.p.h. max.), but 2nd pulls about the best out of all as far as I can tell (it gets to 50 m.p.h. quickly) My wife has a '96 Accord AT, and it's not nearly as peppy or fun (of course I have 30 hp over her car too Even after driving a manual for 15 years, I had to get the knack shifting from 1st to 2nd with my '04 for some reason. Maybe it's the gear ratio? I'm used to it now, and it's Also, when the AT dies, it's gonna cost $$$ to replace.

Anyway, how long have you had the car? Some dealerships have a grace period where you can return the car with no charges. If its past that, but there are still low mileage on the auto, go back to the same dealership and see if they'll give you a good deal on a trade for a manual. You may only have to pay a little bit to trade.

 

I missed something, what happened to this persons tranny that has caused it to fail so soon. Don't tell me the seventh generation automatic transmissions are crap to.
