so raised bumps = perforated = best?...and what length should i look for...so the exhaust shop carried the resonator too?...so u buy from them and they install or did u bring it in...if u brought it in...where'd u buy it from?

 

I'm going to get this catback system for Christmas, then install it after the winter. What do you guys think? It has the long tube-like resonator.

Raised bumps are the regular cherrybomb type.


Perforated core ones are the better type.

The longer the resonator the more it helps reduce the harsh sounds.

Good choice on that one. I would like to hear how it sounds on a 6th gen though. Get some sound clips and post em when you get it.

 

I'd get the longest one you can, the longer it is, the more it deadens the sound. My glasspack is like 18", and my MagnaFlow is about 16". I'm considering taking the glasspack off to free up some flow but im skurred it'll be too loud:dunno:


Nice choice. When I first started planning the mods on my Accord, I wanted a MagnaFlow. I ended up getting a Hayame cause it sounded so sweet on an Integra I seen, sounded nice on my car, but a lil too loud and too big. I ended up getting my MagnaFlow about 6 months later and I:love: it. It's quiet, yet noticeable, sporty w/o being ricey.

Yeah I noticed that was the best price for the magnaflow exhaust online. I couldn't find a better price anywhere.

BTW why would you want a dual exhaust when your Accord is 4cyl, right. I would think that it wouldn't fit because of how deep the trunk goes on that car.

 

so just get any old long perforated resonator...and install it anywhere between the cat and muffler...doesn't matter about the brand or placement?

 

meh i just like the look of dual exhaust... looks wierd just having a single pipe on one side of the car to me... I just can't stand how imports always have the muffler directly behind the tip. you can't just use 1 muffler and have the 2 pipes hanging below the bumper

 

I recommend the magnaflow resonator(turbo muffler), or a glasspack.
Placement is important, you want it right after the cat.
