Help with 4th gen cluster...
the trip release has a little "tip" that comes off. just fently pull the tip off and the clear plastic will come right off.
Now for my problem. I was replacing the indicator bulbes for the turn signals and if anyone has doe this in the 4thgen you know you have to remove the white back cover, then the circut board to get to the bulbs. well removing the circut board you have to remove the gauges themselvesd in doing this I bumped the gas gauge needle and now I need to re calibrate it.
It's reading over full tank, and I know I have half a tank./ so I moved the needle down to half and turned the car on. and it moves the needle back up to full. I moved the needled down to empty and it did the same.
anyone know????
TIA

well, when you remove the cluster you will se 3-4 bulbs but thoes are for the back lighting of the guages. the turn lights and others are under the circut board which is under the white back plate. ther are 4 groups of 3 screws holding the circut board on and thoes screws hold the guadges in.
Its a pain in the arse job but I got it done. long story short. I need a WHOLE new guage cluster., the circut board is fawked up and shorting ou tthe lights.
