New to the board: Help with 2004 Accord Choice 4 cyl. vs 6 cyl.
Hey Everyone. I'm new to the board. I have been browsing for the form a while just as I have been browsing cars.
I have narrowed my car choice down to the following:
2004 Accord Coupe EXL with Navi 4 cylinder
2004 Accord Coupe EXL with Navi 6 cylinder
Which should I buy?
Out the door price I4 2004 coupe: $26000 (My wife wants to save the $2000)
Out the door price V6 2004 Coupe: $28000
I've been toiling over this for a week now. I'm not speed-nut, but I like speed. I will keep my car 10 years. What will last longer? What will have higher resale value if needed?
thanks for your posts!

Are u planning on getting standard or auto. Either i would go with the v6 for an extra 2000$ i would go with a v6 and a manual 6 speeds. As for resale value the V6 would be higher. For longevity well it all depends on how u treat the car and if you do proprer maintenance.

The v6 is much quieter, MUUUUUCH smoother, and you don't need to move the little pedal thingy as far to make it move Last weekend I test drove a 4 banger auto coupe, v6 auto sedan, and v6 6mt coupe, and the 5sp auto in the sedan was pretty damn nice, that extra 40hp in the 03-04 V6 is a nice plus as well. It's still not the torquiest monster off the line, but nice mid end grunt. I took the 4 banger about 3 blocks and took it back to the lot, it just didn't impress me at all, tranny felt worse than the one I already have, and the mid end nut just wasn't there. The V6 auto was very smooth, and it pissed me off because it was super quiet, yet it felt just as fast or mildly faster than the Av6 I already have(that I've pissed away about $15K in). But then I went down the road and drove a G35 6 speed sedan and a 5at sedan and kind of forgot about the accord, althought the $7K price difference was pretty severe.
It just depends on what you want, take both for a test drive, and afterwards you'll realize that $2K isn't that much more
