SRS light is on... damn dealer tryin to rip me off
Ok, I just installed my reverse indiglo's. I'm hoping everything is working (only thing i'm not sure about is my gas gauge). problem now is that my stoopid SRS light is on. Is there a way to turn this off? I tried pulling the battery. Didn't work. Pulled the SRS fuse and the battery - no luck. I just dont want to take this to the dealersihp cuz i know theyre gonna stick me with a bill cuz i messed around with the guages. Can i have any other body shop take care of this?
ideas?
thanks,
-Brian

Ok great. just called up my dealership and they said that they need to reset something (not the ecu) and that it would cost anywhere from 40 - 80 bux. he also said that if the srs light is on, the airbags would not deploy... holee crap. whata rip. there's gotta be an easier/cheaper way to do this. can i goto another shop?
