Default cruise control problem...how does it work

My cruise control doesn't want to do anything. Its not a switch and its not a fuse since the actual "Cruise set" light comes on. I looked at the vacuum lines and they look okay. Is there like some sort of electronic controller for the cruise that may be defective? its a 92 accord by the way.

i have the same problem, i asked my mechanic and he tells me for our 4th gen, that its a common thing that it is that the controller goes out. I never use my CControl so i didnt get it fixed. The controller is located with/near the transmission control unit. I recently had to rebuild and replace my TCU in my 91 ><' brand new costs $520 from the dealer.
