Default spoiler

Hi guys, I'm new to the board. I'm looking into buying a spoiler for my 02 Accord SE. I planned on buying one from ebay because the dealer's asking price is more than I wanted to pay. I was wondering if installing one would be complicated and what tools would I need to do so.

I have looked into an oem spoiler, mugen and the type-r styles. Do you guys have any suggestions and/or opinions on what spoiler I should get and if it would be hard to install it from home? Thanks.

Put it on yourself takes about 1 hour, need 2 people and EASY AS HELL...

I put one on my 03.

Just need 2 drill puts, well 3 really:

One small one for a starter hole
One larger one the screws will fit in, and the 3rd one large enough for the wires...

I say get another person that way they can help hold it when you drill your first little holes to make sure it still going to right right so have them help hold spoiler over holes to make sure they line up okay and if not you still have a chance to do a little adjustment...

But its easy as hell... Hard part is the damn SPRINGS inside the trunk...

Also have some touchup paint so after you do the hole, clean it up the area, and put touchup paint in and around hole to avoide rust ever....

When done WASH your car, I didnt, and had rust all over paint for left over shavings... Most of it came off and its hard to see but I know its their and know right where to look,

Sounds good. I see you have a metallic silver too. Where did you get your touch up paint? I have some but it doesnt perfectly match the car and I am hesitant to use it again.

OEM

If you're going to do it yourself don't overtighten the spoiler to the trunk. My friend overtighten his and now he's got two dents on his trunk.

I have an OEM white spoiler for the sedan. It dosent have the LED or springs for the trunk, but the cheap ones on ebay dont come with the springs either... you can get them from Honda for about $15 a piece (2 needed).

The LED that was on it had about 2 LEDs that worked, so I threw it away.

I'll sell it for $40... but you gotta come get it, its kind of a pain to ship... unless I can get a box from Honda.
