hi. i just bought a VIS carbon fiber hood and i need some advice on installing hood pins. suposedly i dont need the pins and i have driven over 90 mph with the hood on and it seems pretty stable to me, but i just wanna "make sure." i am planning on buying locking hood pins with a key so if anyone has any advice on how to install them so i dont mess up the hood, that would be great. thanks!

 

Not being a smart ass, but they should come with instructions on how to install. Only tip I can offer is when you go to drill the hood. put masking tape over the hood first so you dont scratch it and stuff.


I have never installed hood pins B4 but they seem simple, and I was going to say you should get the locking ones but you beat me to it. :thumbup:

 

actually no i jus bought hoodpins for my CF hood to and am wondering how to do it....they dont come w/ instructions:fawk:
