Default Headlight and Signallight problem

The issue: When I'm driving my passenger side headlight will just go out. When it goes out, the turn signal indicator comes on solid (in the dashboard) and I can't use my right hand turn signal.
If I rev hard or hit a bump just the right way (or even if I just get out and smack the light) the light comes back on and all is well...

I took it to the dealer and they say it's a bad ground somewhere and a short... They want $160 to fix that. What would YOU do? (that's not a real question)

The question is, has anyone else experienced this problem? Does anyone have a common DIY solution for it?

Thanks in advance!!!

trace the headlight wire

see where it's exposed

patch it up with some electrical tape

Thanks.... I figured it out myself anyway without doin' that. I did have a bad ground somewhere else due to a prior installation of signal mirrors that I had recently removed. I simply removed the ground connections that I had to the chassis and voila!!! No more light outage.

Dealer wanted $160 just to do that..... Pssssshhh!!!!

Thanks!

I'm sorry, I can't help you with that one.... My solution was an easy one really. I had to remove another component that was affecting my electrical system... Problem solved.

I'm sorry I can't offer any more than that...
