Default Gude head package cheap...

Not a bad deal at all. People may say they are small gains but I would rather buy this then a exhaust and header system for this price! Only if I had the cash right now!

looks like a lot of nice hardware. I would think it makes more power than intake.exhaust.

gude is no good for hondas. they've got a pretty bad reputation and their claims are no where near what they acutally make. kentucky accord got the gude head package along ass time ago when it first came out and nobody tried it. he had the ECU read on a rom the so called performance ECU was just a stock ECU but supplying more fuel. the reserve is prolly high anyways.

The reserve was 800 bucks. I heard bad about them. But the price was not that bad.

it's not so much that their stuff is so bad, it's just their service blows goats, and they aren't very intent on staying in business if you ask me. Anyhow, as for 50hp, that's deffinately beyond a stretch. A really well done p&p job with a fully modified head and cam will probably net more realistically around 25 FLYWHEEL power.

But $800 is a descent deal I suppose...I'm not a big fan of Gude's stuff just because they have such terrible service and I personally find their head porting to be substandard (I work in a machine shop part time).

Do you guys port and polish heads? If so, what is the normal charge? I could only find one shop who would do mine around here and they wanted $900

Anyway, just trying to get an insider's take on this. Thanks.
