Default headlight

I know there are several factors involved, but does anyone have a rough estimate of what a dealer might charge for parts/labor to replace a headlight assembly and corner light on a 92 accord sedan?

they'll rob you if you try to get an OEM replacement. go for an aftermarket one at a place like autodynamic.com. they have yours for $98: http://216.82.69.117/search_results....el=2&subcat=17

as for installing, you can search for instructions on the forums and do it yourself to save some $ and you can be proud that you did it.

this is a job you can really do yourself. if you have an hour or 2 free, it's not difficult at all.

getting older parts from the dealer might not be possible. for a broken window on a 93 civic, i was told to check local junk yards.

my suggestion is
- get the autodynamic housings or even check eBay
- install yourself

I left some info out on my first post. A lady hit my moms accord, the one i mentioned before, and wants to avoid going through the insurance company. I want the lady to pay dealer price for the parts but I'll get them from the junkyard/ebay. Then I'll probably install them for probably half what the dealer would charge. That way my mom can make a little bit and get her car fixed and I can make a little bit.

that's some important info you left out the first time.

$200 list price at www.hondaautomotiveparts.com and they're selling for $150.

I seriously advice doing it yourself, unless you have 0 time to do it. It's really a very inflated price for doing such a simple job.

in one of his replies, he explained the situation and said he's going to do it himself. all he wants to know is how much to charge the person responsible for the accident for a new headlight and labor for installation.

I figured I'd add an update to this. The lady changed her mind and decided to go through her insurance. The insurance company's shop quoted 710.00 worth of damage. They didn't get back to her for a little while but yesterday she called and told them her bulb blew out from the rain we've been having and mentioned her lawyer. They told her they'd call this morning, which they did, and said they had a check waiting for her, which ended up being for 2400.00. I guess things work out for the better sometimes.
