Default ABS control module going out?

Hello.

I drive a 96' Honda Accord, 4 cyl vtec.

I believe my ABS control module is going out, but I could be wrong - i hope im wrong. Whenever i start my car, there is a buzzing sound, like theres supposed to be, but it does not go away. about every 5 mins it buzzes again, and i believe its trying to recalibrate the pressure in the abs system. I opened my hood, and sure enough, the sound is coming from the abs control module.

I want to know if there is an easy way to fix this, because I really would rather not fork over $800 for a new one. I put some fluid in there, and the problem goes away, but it just comes back after a few days..

What can i do?

does it make those sound once a while, even when it's idle, and sound like "eeeeeeerrrrrrr" - Like a long pronunciation of "air" with heavier emphasis on the "r" part?

i had the same problem. my abs light would always turn on when i start the car and the abs module would buzz. i filled up the fluid many times becasuse it kept leaking every so often and after awhile it stopped leaking and the buzzing stopped too, but now my abs light just stays on. the light used to just go away after i filled it. i think its blown out or something.

also, if you listen closely to the inside of the car, near thermostat controls, like 5 sec after you start your car, theres a tick sound that caomes before my abs light comes on. it always happens. dont know what thats about either. i think its just the ecu or something sending the signal that theres something wrong.

When the buzzing (completely) stops and the light is on, your ABS is gone.
The unit has buzzed itself to death.
(Actually it has burned out)

Common problem with 5th Gens and Honda knows and does nothing.
