****SUSPENSION PROBLEM**** HELP ME!!!!!!
car specs
1998 accord coupe v6 ex

generic coilover
stock shocks
this past weekend, i found that my tires were completely stripped on the inner edge of tire. it was because my tires were rubbing up against the edge of the shock ring (the circle thing that holds the spring up). my ride was quite low. so after i replaced the tires, i adjusted the coilovers a lot higher. now every little bump i hit on the road, i hear this REALLY LOUD CLUNK noise coming from all 4 suspension(especially the front). however, when my car was adjusted lower, i didn't have this big of a problem.
first question: how the hell do i fix this noise problem? is it hitting against something, and is it damaging my suspension?
second question: how do i make my tires parallel to the road (what is a lower/upper tie bar or camber kit thing?)
third question: if i get a tie bar or camber kit thing, will my tires still hit against anything if i were to lower my car?
fourth question: will i need an alignment after installing a camber kit or lower/upper tie bar?
any help would be appreciated. thanks!

sounds like your stock struts are blown. get some good aftermarkets struts and get an alignment. you may even want to ditch those generic coilovers for a tein basic coilover setup.

About the rubbing issue and camber. If you have a ton of camber, you may rub the shock body like you mentioned.
Yes, it's called a camber kit and it allows you to adjust the angle of the wheels to make them perpendicular to the road. That will push the top of the tire out, so you probably won't hit your shocks anymore.
As far as the tire wear goes...it's really wearing on the sidewall, and not the inner part of the tread?
Try jumping up and down on ur car (u know what I mean) and see if the car still rocks when u stop. If ur shocks are good the car should quickly stop moving but it will continue rocking if the shocks are blown.
U GET WHAT U PAY FOR. Generic may be ok for ur shift knob but ur safety and a lot more relies on your suspension. Don't cut corners where u shouldn't.

so what should i get exactly? my shocks are blown or struts? i thought struts are like the bars that hold ur chasis in place? and how much will it run me to get a camber kit + whatever else i need?
how do u know if ur shocks are blown? i dont think they're blown. how would you explain that when i lower it more, it doesnt make that huge clunk sound?

My bet: now that the coils are little further apart they have more room to actually bump into each other, get some wire loom or some rubber insulation and put them around the coils to start out with.
it could also be them just settling in, typically when the assembly is removed, and it's not properly seated when it starts rolling, it'll do that until it gets situated - and usually you have to tighten the top bolts on the strut towers a few times too
.....
and yes, you get what you pay for, and I'd never trust my life on generic suspension pieces - that's one thing (and engine internals, fi components) that I do not trust to just any old brand.

Cheesy coilovers strike again. If you are getting new shocks, get some high quality lowering springs to with them. If you can afford it, get some high quality coilovers if you want to keep height adjustability
