My bet: now that the coils are little further apart they have more room to actually bump into each other, get some wire loom or some rubber insulation and put them around the coils to start out with.

it could also be them just settling in, typically when the assembly is removed, and it's not properly seated when it starts rolling, it'll do that until it gets situated - and usually you have to tighten the top bolts on the strut towers a few times too .....

and yes, you get what you pay for, and I'd never trust my life on generic suspension pieces - that's one thing (and engine internals, fi components) that I do not trust to just any old brand.
