Default The best winter tires?

I'm looking for new winter tires. My dad thinks Michelin Pilots are the best for value..etc, but I want to get Pirelli. Same price, $650-700 cdn w/black beater rims.

So what are good brands that you guys have used?

try a search we discussed this a few weeks ago.

imo,

nokian makes the best snow tires

those micheline pilots seem good, i know a bunch of prelude owners like them.

i got dunlop graspic ds-1s and for the money they are very good, of course they suck in the dry

Bridgestone Blizzaks seem to be the ones most often used...

depends on the model, i don't like the ws-50s. the MZ-02s are nice though, but most sizes for accords are ws-50s.

Check with the local DMV. Some cities/counties have a ban on studded tires.

studs are for ice, not snow. they give the car serious dry pavement handling issues too and your not supposed to drive over 75mph. a studless ice tire is a better route to go if you do lots of highdriving in the winter.

btw the rims i'm selling in my sig come with 185 65 15 Pirelli winter S2 that are studded. so i'm speaking from experience.
