slammed=r1ce
how do you expect to be fast if you bottom out on every little bump? granted usually shorter springs have higher spring rates but then you have no travel. if all you're droppng for is looks then fine but if you expect any kind of performance get less drop (around 1.5" maybe) with a stiff springrate

if slammed is rice than BMW's are rice?
they have almost no wheel gap watsoever, so are they rice?
and y would u bottom out on every little bump? accords are pretty high off the ground anyways, unless u want to look like a 4x4...

since when have ANY BMW's been slammed from stock?
i'm not saying little wheel gap is bad...just BMW's are designed for it, their wheel wells are shaped nicely around their tires so the gap the entire way around is uniform...plus their spring rates and tire sizes are also designed for it (no need to roll fenders to fit tires up into wheel wells during suspension compression
most aftermarket springs that produce the "slammed" look don't have the spring rates to accomodate for the weight of an accord...most of the springs that are sold in the US were designed in Germany for European cars...the Euro accords are sufficiently lighter than the USDM ones which means that the car rides lower on the springs and also bottom out more often due to the increased weight
the best way I've seen to overcome this is to either get a set of coilovers w/ custom spring rates higher than the ones sold off the shelf...that way you will be able to conpensate for the more weight, you will be height adjustable (so you can have the slammed look if you want it), and you will still retain enough suspension travel so that your car will handle like it should without bottoming out...
1.5" drop gives a uniform wheel gap the ENTIRE way around the wheel so i don't understand how you would look like a 4X4...if anything you would look better than the slammed look, more like a BMW than any slammed car, and have increases suspension travel and not need to worry about bottoming out...not to mention the money you could save by not needing a camber kit
if all you want is show then fine, slam the hell out of your car...but if you expect to get better performance out of it you're sorely mistaken

i jus used a BMW as an example and a accord wit 17's would also look nice wit the wheel wells. i also meant 4x4 when u dont lower it, especially the 4th gen which hav about 3 inch wheel gap w/o lowering.
i would also definately go for coil-overs and with adjustable shox, you can jus tune it to be a bit stiffer. i dont see how u wouldnt get any "performance" when slamming cuz of lower center of gravity. wit lower COG you can hit the turns at a much higher speed while keeping the car stable, wit also the use of strut bars.
like wat happened wit my dad's camry hittin a turn a 80 wit his blown out front shox, the tires whr screeching like crazy...
