Default EX sway bar install on my LX

My LX finally has a rear sway bar:yay: My boy accordhybrid hooked me up w/his old EX sway, and although it's no ST piece, it's a hell of alot better than w/o it. I have never felt so at ease when taking corners aggressively in the Accord. I didn't really think it would be, but it proved to be a very noticeable and worthwhile mod:thumbup:

I helped a little bit w/the install, but accordhybrid and his father get credit for that. Thanks bro, you and your dad kick ass.

We had to drill holes for the mounting brackets but it was pretty straight forward. It wasn't a 30 minute job by any means, it actually took about 3hrs, but that's mostly because Alan and his dad are very thorough and don't rush.

End result: Awesome mod, worth every penny, drop of sweat and or blood. Car handles more like a slot car than a van now. If you can't afford a ST bar, do the EX and you will definitely walk away w/a smile on your face.

Cool beans. Guess I'm lucky to have my EX bar, since I never really drove an LX and felt how it was. I'll be getting rid of it sometime soon though when I get enough saved up for my Suspension Technique bar

Now that I think about it, did you torque down the lower control arm bolt?

Definitely a noticeable difference from no bar to EX bar, and from what everybody says, even more noticeable of a difference from EX bar to ST bar. I'll be getting the ST bar too, but this was just to hold me over till then.

Glad you got it on. I never drove an LX so I don't know how it handles through a turn but I can't wait till my girl gets my ST sway bar. My car can us a little bit more handling help and when I get the 17's I'll will be done with the suspension. Once again congrats.

I don't think that we torques it down but you tightened it thought right????????? Torque it to 61 ft pounds or just tighten that bitch up. We can check when we do the CL brake conversion

Sup Joe. Yeah man, you'll love it, the ST bar is considerably thicker than the stock EX one and it's got polyurethane bushings so im sure it'll be alot more noticeable than the one I got. It's kinda hard to believe that that lil puny bar made such a difference, but im loving it. ST is next on the list

yeah, I didn't wrench it down, but it's tightened. There you go w/the CL conversion thing again:chuckles: First thing on my brakes list is SS lines and upgraded pads.

I never really noticed it but then again I have never driven a DX or LX. Right now I have KYB gas shocks, H&R sport springs, Pilot front strut bar, and I EX rear-strut. My car takes corners so much better then any other car I have driven. I still have to get my camber kit on there, a new rear-sway bar, (forgot name) Goes behind the back seat, and a Tanabe Sustec under-brace and I should be good!

Thats awesome though man.
