Default ECU Upgrade

Hi, I'm new to this website and I'm currently driving a 95 Accord LX automatic. I want to upgrade my ECU because there is a speed limit at 115mph. I heard that the upgrade will also take away my rev limiter and also shift my shift-poiints up.
Anybody here knows where and how can I get it done?

Brian

JET has an ecu upgrade option. U send them ur ecu and they mess with it, out their chip in, and ship it back to u asap.

Thanks for the recommendation. What kind of upgrade will I get other than the things that I had mentioned earlier?
How do I exactly remove the ECU and how long normally does it take for them to send back my ECU?
By the way, I checked on ebay regarding those mods/chips that claimed to be able to produce the same results as an ECU upgrade, is it true? What are the effects of these cheaper stuff?
One such mods is as follows:

thelama33: that's just a black box with a 10 cent resistor in it....it's just yet another scam on eBay lately - sadly. It would be a great idea to do that except that the resistor values that people use they have no idea what they do...they just "estimate" if they even do that, or they use the same value for all cars....which is a very bad thing. The only way to really do what they are trying to do, is to write the resistor in circuit and to use a potentiometer that can be tuned on a dyno or with a wideband O2 sensor - However, it will do nothing for your speed limiter...

Also, you may consider an upgraded ECU from another honda Accord, I believe that if you're using the stock LX motor for the 5th gen you MAY be able to use the stock 92-93 EX (f22a6 motor), or SE ECU to remedy all your troubles plus get a little better fuel map. You may also try the CB13 ECU for the F20A.

Hi 92lx, so do you really think this ECU below will work? What is the worse thing that can happen if I install the wrong kind of ECU?

By the way, you were saying stock 92-93 EX ECU, is there a rev limiter or speed limiter inside?

The JET ppl turn it around within one business day and with the fastest possible shipping. If I'm correct your ecu is underneath your passanger carpet. Just take a few screws out unplug the wires and its out.

No rev limiter that I'm aware of, and deffinately no speed governor....if you want my EX ECU, I'll sell it to you, e-mail or PM me and we'll talk.

I think they add/modd a chip with their own data. I'm sure there are some hp gains. Ofcourse all the governers are either removed or moved up. I believe you can also tell them how to set ur ecu if u know what ur doing.
