Default tranny question

unfortunately i have an AT...sometimes, not all the time, when i shift out of park or reverse and into drive it'll jerk...any idea what this is

tranny mount. if not, then motor mount i guess. the rubber has probably dried up and stuff.

I think it's normal for autos to jerk a little coming out of park....mine gets worse as it gets colder.....

If it's like a jerk as in it's hard to get into gear, and kinda slams into gear, then try putting the car into park, set the handbrake, then release the foot brake. Or handbrake, park, then release footbrake, etc.

hey same chit is happening to me, and all it started after i did a tranny fluid change and since then everytime i go from park to reverse it brakes my head, any idea anyone? and yeah as it gets colder it gets worse. weird thing this happen only after i change the tranny oil.

i think it's supposed to happen. because when you shift from park or reverse the gears are supposed to bang or jerk in the case. kinda how stickshift car is when you shift gears you're supposed to feel a jerk

just check your tranny and motor mounts to see if the rubber has disintegrated or not. this is a common problem in acura legends.

if it's supposed to happen, there'd be no reason why it doesn't happen all the time...and mt should have clean shifts as well...sry...i don't really know where the mounts are...can u explain a bit more plz jjj
