Default Engine Swap/explanation

Sup,
I`ve been thinking of doing an engine swap but there is a problem, i am kinda confused on which engine would fit. When i checked out some web sites they had sum codes for engines or whatever, such as " f22 " and stuff like that. I have a 99 accord 4door, 4 cyl, 5 spd, so i was wonderin which V6 engine would fit, and also if u could explain sum of different engines with those weird names, lol. and also i think i`d need to change the transmision as well, so also which trany would fit.
I was thinkin on using an accord V6, 3.0L engine, with sum acura trany...would sumthin like that work ?

Thanx a bunch !!!

search engine codes...search engine swaps...quick breakdown...easiest, most common swap is the h22a...prelude, 200 hp, vtec, 2.2L...it would be best to use the tranny from the car that the engine came from...don't bother w/ the v6

check out http://www.total-boost.com/?id=15563. they have good prices on jdm engines and are really knowledgeable. ur best thing to do is swap in a h22. the v6 from earlier than 2003 puts out 200hp stock so does the h22. the h22 can be modied so much easier than the v6 plus it has a 5speed manual unlike the auto of the v6. it would cost to much money to swap in a 03 v6 if it is even possible.

H22 is the most common of swaps, although you can fit an F20B if you really want to be different and have a shortage of parts.
