Fluid low but not empty, filled it up, pumped the pedal 100 hundred times, no fluid on ground or near calipers. Is this a bad master cylinder? What are the symptoms of a bad brake booster?

Happened to me when it got hot outside. I bled the brakes and it still happened. I changed the brake master cylinder and that solved my problem. Id look at that because the parts guy at honda said its common for the MC to go bad after awhile.
