drop power steering rack

Default drop power steering rack

Anybody ever drop the power steering rack in their 5th gen? If so any tips/ suggestions about doing so? Im gonna take mines off soon to work on it and just want to hear from people who have done so before. Thanks in advance.

Well if its like the 4th gen... (should be real similar) you have to make sure you turn it all the way to the left b4 removing it...makes a world of difference. Other than that, its straight forward.

Thanks. Oh and whats the benefit of turning the wheel all the way to the left?

because it wont come off if you dont, it will get stuck by like 2 inches. When you get to that part, you will see, and understand.
