Default Anti-freeze Leak

Yesterday, I parked my car, and when I got out I saw a small pool of green liquid on the ground, and some smoke coming out of my hood. My first thought was that it boiled over, but when I popped the hood I looked inside and saw that there was a small hose next to the top right corner of the engine block that had sprung a leak, and it was spraying Anti-Freeze anto the engine block, which was causing the smoke.

I put a little tape over it, and poured some more anti-freeze mixed with water into the radiator and drove home. My question is: is it safe to drive it for now just as long as I keep putting in anti-freeze? Also, does anyone know what that part is? I have no clue what it does. Can I get it plugged, or will I need a new part?

I think your talking about the top radiator hose, the one that goes from the block to the top of the radiator?

Im sure you can find a replacment fairly easy from a place like autozone, NAPA, etc....Its just the rubber hose right? And if you patched the hole ou shouldnt need to be adding more...mayber theres another leak...

Its also weird that it would just randomly get a pin-prick hole like that.
