This site will tell you what size tires you need to get to keep your speedometer accurate:

J,

Thanks. Would you be able to point me in the right direction with perhaps some pictures of rather flashy chrome 18's and recommended tires to go along?

Whaaaaz up bro. Yes, you did say that. I remember SOMEONE in here said it ("it" meaning the bridging of the NSX-like tail lamps).

You have over 125K miles? Wow. I only have 45K. She is still running good? Amazing.

I want you to look at this link, please (and everyone else) and tell me what you think of the RED Accord in the two shots provided:

http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/263847/3

Now, the guy who's on Cardomain (not the one with the red Accord, he has an electric blue coupe) said on Cardomain that the OEM spoiler was beginning to look weak and too subtle for him---like everyone and their grandma who had an Accord had this spoiler. So he is going to put on that Commando wing thats on the red coupe in the picture----doesnt this red coupe, in everyone's opinion, look so much more aggressive with that aftermarket body kit and Commando wing comapred to if, say, I left the OEM body kit and trunk wing on?
Hey Scotty

Those altezzas absolutely ruin that car. Disgusting.

I usually don't like big wings...but I actually like that. It definetly has some flair to it. It must weigh 20 pounds though. I'd love to see that wing with the OEM underbody kit. You're right, the OEM spoiler is a bit bland after looking at it for two years. i might look into that Commando spoiler, it does look nice. I just wanna see pics of your car with it first :fawk:

My car runs awesome at 125k. Here are the things that have gone wrong:

1) EGR - $200 or so with labor
2) O2 Sensor - Free (at 38k, they helped me out and accidentally told Honda I had 35k because the dealer agreed with me that it went way too soon in the engine's life)
3) Left wheel bearings at 90k, right ones at 120k. I dunno why they went at different times, but they did. $250 for both.

And that's all. Engine sounds nicer and feels nicer than when new, but suspension components are wearing down. I need to get some coilovers :happysad: I need to take her in for the seat recall too h:

I have 19's and To me they still look small, i would suggest the 19's if you want to fill up as much gap as possible. OR you can always try 20's i have seen a few accords with 20 inch rims

I agree with everything jschmid said

first thing you should do is lower the car with GOOD QUALITY parts. You might want to look into getting some thicker sway bars. Your options are

1. Acura TL-S/CL-S OEM rear sway
2. Comptech or Eibach full front+rear sway bar kit.

As for lowering the car, TEIN coilovers are a good choice, since you can adjust the height, and the "stiffness" (16 different levels!)

In my case, I already know what drop I want to get: H&R Sports with Neuspeed Knoi Yellows (front perch set one lower). Hopefully that will even out the wheel gap (front has more gap than the back).

The coupes have more wheel gap than the sedans, but they are less susceptible to rubbing because of the way the fenders are "cut." The offset of the wheel determines how far the wheel sticks out...

As for wheels, I personally would go with 18s, since you will save a bunch from not going with 19s. As for tires, 225/40-18 is the perfect match, so your speedo won't be off, and they are "low profile"

DJ Scotty,

With respect to your choices you should really listen to what others are suggesting to you about chrome wheels. I would highly recommend a silver 18in wheel w/ a polished lip. Chrome is nice but it should be left to the high end Euros/Japanese/SUVs. Do a search on chrome wheels on this forum and you will see a lot of members bashing on guys who have chrome wheels on their Honda. It's really up to you b/c it's your car! A lot of members posted some good recommendations here so good luck and keep us updated!

I've never considered dark tint to be played out. I have 20% tint all around except for my front windshield on my 03' Honda Accord EX-V6 Coupe. I even have 20% tint all-around on my 00' Honda Prelude. I've tinted my cars for several reasons but mainly for privacy. I feel akward when someone is staring at me when I'm driving or sitting at the light waiting for the green. Would my 03' Accord Coupe be considered rice just b/c I have dark tint?

Thanks Chris,

You think the Altezzas look like ass on that coupe, huh? You say just leave the stock tails?

Yeah, that commando wing is actually looking a lot better than our OEM trunk wings. EVERYWHERE I look now where I live, I see these sixth gen coupes with the OEM wings. Boring. But whatever, for now, I guess. And you're right---would B interesting to see a pic of my car with the commando wing on.

My baby only has about 45K on her. Would you consider this still new?

Thanks Buf,

Got your reply in the other Appearance/Cosmetic Forum, as well. Saw a new Jaguar XK8 with that new "Elite" package it comes with this morining----I think that's the name of the package; anyway, it included 20 inch wheels and those things looked like STEAMROLLERS on the car---awesome! But I think it may be a bit too overboard for my Accord in chrome; do you not think 18's would be enough to give a custom, "filled" effect with regard to the wheelwells (once dropped)? I would definitely need to look toward 20s?

Thanks....would a TON of money be saved between going with 18s instead of 19s? Would there be a tremendous visual difference in looks between the two sized wheels? Thanks for the size requirements for my speedo! Much appreciated.
