Default Just finished

I just finished installing my AEM short ram intake. Looks nice and sounds 100% better. One thing is AEM Emissions test and passed?

yes it is carb exempt.

See but you got a short ram, and putting a K&N air filter on your stock intake and removing the resonator would probably have done you better. Having a short ram, your still sucking up air from the engine bay..not very good.

he just got his intake you dont hav to tell him "..not very good"
ALSO have you ever really thought about how long the pipe for a short ram in a 5gh gen accord is? the CAI's pipe for our cars is longer by lets say 10''?

and the thing that cais are sucking up COLD air and the short rams HOT is bull**** cause 10'' of a longer pipe do not make a diff. short ram air's temp lets say is 80F Cai's is 79.9999999F

big deal

What the hell are you talking about? When I make a short trip across town to the store on a hot summer day and then pop the hood when I get home, it's gotta be over 110-120 degrees under the hood. You can't say there isn't a difference :slap:

Just take out the resonator under the fenderwell and put some 3" aluminum dryer hose in the hole and rout it to the front grill. I have done that on my 5th gen and have measured the temps at the air filter and at the front of the grill with a modified Radio Shack indoor/outdoor thermomiter. There was only a 3-5 degree difference.

Talking about CAI i heard that a 97+ prelude AEM CAI fits 4th gen accord no problem and they're 3in in diameter compare to 2.5 for the accord.
