Default fried harness

I fried my harness with too high a wattage bulb, is all I have to do is cut the harness off and put a new harness on for everything to work right?

Yes, all you do is cut the harness and soilder a new one in. Also check the housing to see if that was also melted out of shape. A heat gun can be used to remold it the way it was but be patient on it. Next time try to find a bulb as close to 65w as possible. Silvania Silverstars 9005 conversion are popular. Raybrigs are good too but will cost you around $85. Both are 65w bulbs.
