lsvtec blueish smoke????help
well, I finally got my car running after 6months of waiting for machine shops and other bullshit.
heres what I got.
b18a w/srp 11.5 pistons and eagle rods
gsr head 3angle port and polish w/ stage 3 crowers, skunk 2 retainers and springs
and some other stuff
any way I originally thoought that the rings were just seating but from day one of starting the engine it smokes blueish white smoke. 500 mi later same thing.
The car smokes when at idle and when I rev abit it seems to go away. when I am open throttle alot of whte smoke. Now I heard that smoke at idle is valve guides.
I check the plugs religously and 2 and 4 have oil on them. I really hope that the rings arent ****ed. I did a compression test and I had 200-220 all the way across. I changed the pcv valve but that didnt really help. I have only had the motor running for a week and I dont know what to do. I havnt lost any coolant and my exhaust tip is black and gummy, not powdery. I am losing oil somewhere and dont know what to do. Could it possibly be a head gasket? I think that the compression check would of revieled that.
the engine feels real strong and I want to drive it but I am deathly afraid that I might screw something up.
let me know what you guys think because I am about to roll the car off of a cliff in about a minute.
