actually the timing belt on my Honda was far easier to replace than on any VW or Audi I've ever worked on. Install time was approx 4 hours, but that's because I also did the water pump, thermostat, and a few other tuneup items.
VW/Audis are ridiculous, my friend needs his done on his S4 soon. it cost like $1,000 cause the to do it.
