any speakers amped will sound better at all volumes, given they are in fine working condition. The more power you can give a speaker (up to its max capability of course) the better it will sound. Even better if you have an amp with a crossover that way you can give your speakers more power they can use effectively by eliminating the frequencies that cause distortion, thus improving the sound quality.
