That's part of the problem I have with honda... by the time you do all that, you practically have a new car... why wouldn't it last for ever? I recently dumped around $2100 onto my 96 w/ 76000 miles and it is still extremely unsmooth and shifts harsh...

Too many little things to take care of and is still not rewarding...I still don't understand how can so many people claim that their cars still drive like new after tens of thousands of miles. My Lexus w/ 4500 miles doesn't drive like when it was new (engine, tires and differential are getting noisy and doesn't feel as solid as when it was new...).

I am a little discouraged and want to go back to German...
