DelSolGirl and I just went to a car show a couple weeks ago in which some of the old muscle cars had hoods removed so that people could better examine the engine bays, some of which were works of art. Attention paid to every single last detail - it was amazing!
Yeah, I too love a lot of the older muscle cars... my fav is the 68-70 Charger, speak of the devil. There are tons of those types of cars where I live - 'Cudas, Satellites, Fury Sports, Chevelles, Novas, Mustangs, Chargers, Challengers, Darts, Camaros, Demons, AMXs, Javelins, etc. etc. etc. More than you can shake a stick at.
Yeah, they've lost almost everything they had. There's none of that "raw power" feel in today's "muscle" cars. Only the really serious packages compare to the great muscle cars of yore - the Z06, SS Camaro, W/S6 Trans Am, Cobra Mustang, etc. etc. But drivers in the lesser v6 models seem to think they are direct descendents, and act like they own the road. Total assholes, I agree.
