That's straight man I feel you! They suck and rob the hood of it's stylish look . VIS highly recommends the pins for safety that was one reason I went with them. Number 2 my uncle did the hood latch thing to no avail; still came off and smashed his windshied. It's personal preferance and safety versus style. I would like to see how it comes out for you. The front view of your car is gonna look good[carbon fiber hood w/ the headlights] Forget these whores bro cause they are never gonna keep their mouth shut.
