I have 2 15K rpm SCSI drives and 4 10K rpm scsi drives.

The 4 10Ks are in a dedicated hot swap enclosure with 2 fans to cool them. The 2 15Ks are cooled the single 120mm fan in the back sucking out all the hot air.

then there are the 4 5400rpm ide drives... umm two of those are in the case so they sort of get cooled and the other two are outside the case. :doh:


everytimes I fire up that puppy the room temp goes up by a good 3-4F in 30mins :chuckles:


however I will say that when I had 2 CRTs in the room it got a lot hotter.

It's a lot cooler with the LCDs.
