I COMPLETELY agree with you. I HATE the way people say stupid stuff like "if it doesn't increase performance it's rice" **** OFF! What if I don't care how my car performs? What if I'd rather spend my money on looks?

Let me quote the conversation I had with the guy at the muffler shop when I got my exhaust done.

"Hey, I wanna do the exhaust on my cougar"
"Well what are you looking for?"
"I don't give a shit about performance, I just want it to sound good"
"Do you want it loud, or fuken loud?"
"Just loud"

So he looked underneath, told me I had a HUGE resignator and we should just try puttin in a Y pipe and running dual with no mufflers. So we did that and now I have a VERY unique sounding exhaust. The whole point of this story being, I didn't give a shit AT ALL about what it did performance wise.

Everyone says the exception to the "not performance = rice" rule is a stereo. Why is that? Why is that the ONLY thing that is not frowned upon?
